Ich habe mir das Paket "Internet Tethering v.3.0" von Cydia (BigBoss Repo) runtergeladen und danach noch mit dem "Mobileconfig Generator" von hier über das iPhone meine eigene "Config-file" erstellt und installiert!

Und es funktioniert einwandfrei!!

THERE IS HOPE! Previously I had downloaded Ben's fix to enable tethering. A couple months later, Optus wiped it out when I installed an update from them. At the same time, that also wiped out my MMS. I now negotiated with Optus (since I'm up for renewal) to throw tethering in with my contract for free. They did, and enabled tethering for me - but because it was wiped out in a previous software update - the settings were gone. I have tried installing Ben's updates a few times and it did not work. I then tried to do a custom setting using my username and password from Optus. I have tried this a few times, and finally it's working - although, I'm unable to figure out what exactly did the trick - but there's hope.

Hi Ive downloaded and installed the tethering software on my 3GS, 3.1.3, and by coincidence not seen, that it would not work but only up to 3.1.2 - But now no networking works any more - how can I undo that command - to reset the software /firmware that anything works like in the past.

Hey...there is a notice, that 3G is unlockable on 3.1.3. . ´Cause there is no difference like 3GS is partet into old and new bootrom, i assume that 3G is unlockable without restrictions, isn´t it?

So how can I unlock 3G, except of fuzzyband with the old bootloader 5.08?

Did latest 3.1.3 update invalid the profile generator?

What shall we do? Wait or something better? :)

HI, I AM IN USA. HAVE 3GS 3.13 . Totally erased tethering.
did the new download called thing at benn. but that was it ,nothing happened. the profile shows up in general, but no tethering to use.

Yeah, you want it free AND in English? Just learn little bit if German, it won't hurt you. (BTW Do not believe Obama, there is no such language as Austrian! They speak German in Austria).
