I now negotiated with Optus (since I'm up for renewal) to throw tethering in with my contract for free. They did, and enabled tethering for me - but because it was wiped out in a previous software update - the settings were gone. I have tried installing Ben's updates a few times and it did not work. I then tried to do a custom setting using my username and password from Optus. I have tried this a few times, and finally it's working - although, I'm unable to figure out what exactly did the trick - but there's hope. THERE IS HOPE!
